The annual UCR Concours d’Elegance and Show & Shine event is a Go with a return to the grounds of Legendary Motorcar Company in Halton Hills on Sunday, September 21st from 9am to 2pm. Aside from the scenic local backdrop for our beautiful cars, this locale offers an added attraction with the stunning automobile displays of Legendary Motorcar Company on the same grounds. Spectators are welcome free of charge to take in the UCR Concours, but we urge you to enter your car for a new low registration fee and take part in all the fun!

This year we will offer a small change in format: there will be no pre-registration, all Porsches are welcome and entrants will pay a new, super-low price of only 20 Dollars per car right at the gate by cash or cheque and, ALL participants will leave the event as winners and with beautiful mementoes to take home.

Simply arrive by 9am on the morning of September 21, pay the registration fee, and park your car in the allocated area for your Porsche model and year. There will be Peer-Judging for Winners and Runners-up in 18 classes plus a People’s Choice Award as selected by all participants and spectators. Also, just as last year, we will have a special Full-Concours Judged Class for a limited number of cars at an additional fee.

So, get ready to shine up your baby for September 21 (rain date, September 28) and follow news on this website and in the September issue of Provinz Magazine for additional details as they unfold. We’ll see you at THE Porsche Gathering of the Season!

  1. Would have been nice to know in advance there may have been a rain date for this concours event and to check before leaving home (London)…arrived at the site around 11 a.m. (along with several other disappointed members), expecting to see at least a few hardy souls in the damp but sunny conditions…no sign posted, but pretty obvious nothing going on! Peeked in the Legendary windows at an awesome collection of cars…

    • Hi Peter, and thank you for the comment. We actually published the rain date of September 28 in all of our promo material; i.e. in Provinz and on the website, in the articles and the calendar entries. But yes, we had decided to forge ahead despite warnings of inclement weather conditions for that day. When the weather turned out to be much worse than even the worst predictions, we decided to better cancel and make use of the prescheduled rain date. We posted a notice on the UCR website – right at the top of the news section on the home page – as soon as was technically possible and by 9am only three hardy souls had shown up with their Porsches. But yes, you’re right, we should have had a sign at the premises advising people of the change. We did have someone stay for quite some time after 9am to inform any of those who braved the elements that morning of the change. But again, thanks for the comment; it is duly noted for future events. Hope to see you this Sunday instead for brilliant weather and a great fun-filled day with beautiful Porsches and all of our Porsche Friends!

    • My point was that I didn’t notice a rain date in the original posting or I would have checked before leaving home. Obviously, I should have checked anyway. Please note, I am not upset by this, we conveniently continued on to Toronto with the remainder of our plans for the day! :-)
I couldn’t make the rain date, must have been a good time with such good weather.
