Pfaff Porsche hosts a grand Holiday Social
THE PFAFF PORSCHE HOLIDAY SOCIAL, actual Christmas or a grand New Year’s party? Which is more popular among our club members? Which do we most look forward to?
Judging by the incredible turn-out on Dec. 10 — over 300 club members, their guests and several VIPs — the annual extravaganza generously hosted by Pfaff Porsche surely tops the season.
All enjoyed mingling around the glowing towering Christmas tree in Pfaff’s expansive and festive showroom, celebrating the season and munching on various delectable food items including seafood, freshly carved beef, antipasto and other treats, sipping on refreshing beer and wine.
Pfaff Porsche in Vaughan is one of the largest Porsche dealerships in North America and one of only three in Canada — and the only one in Ontario — certified as a Classic Partner, which means high specialization in buying, selling, servicing and restoring the gorgeous vintage Porsches of yesteryear. Any club member who owns a classic should keep Pfaff’s contact info handy.
Pfaff Porsche has been an integral player in the success of PCA UCR in 2019, acting as presenting sponsor and providing a pace car for our big Can-Am Challenge Club Race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (also known as Mosport) in August, hosting another successful annual driving tour in September, as well as purchasing advertisements every month in the very magazine you are reading. We appreciate their support and we know our club members also support Pfaff in return by purchasing new and pre-owned Porsches, parts and service. Together we fuel the Porsche passion.
Pfaff Motorsports took to the stage to announce a new partnership with Motul, a world-class French company specializing in high-tech engine lubricants, and reveal its stunning GT3 R race car decked out in the new Motul livery. Fans showed their approval with applause and awes, especially excited that the striking red plaid design is back. The car makes its debut at the Roar Before The Rolex this month.
Motul meets strict OEM approvals and is also now the Pfaff dealership group’s new official oil.
Several from the race team were in attendance with Jacqueline Woodruff, Pfaff marketing and event specialist, introducing driver Zacharie Robichon, Manager Steve Bortolotti, Motul Brand Manager Nolan Browning, as well as President and CEO Christopher Pfaff.
Your club vice-president also took to the stage to wish everyone, on behalf of the PCA UCR board of directors, a happy holiday season and good tidings for the new year. ‘Tis the season for giving’ so club members were asked to bring an unwrapped toy for Pfaff’s toy drive for Sick Kid’s Hospital, anyone who did, was entered into a draw to win a bag of Porsche goodies. Pfaff’s Diana Kwok and I drew tickets and presented the prizes.
Special thanks to Kathleen Wong, Minesh Dattani and Mahwash Mohsin for welcoming and checking in club members.
Great news! Pfaff Porsche will be back as the presenting sponsor for our milestone 25th Anniversary Can-Am Challenge Club Race in 2020.
And more great news! Pfaff Porsche has already broken ground on a brand-new dealership, Porsche Centre Markham, the first in the world to showcase Porsche’s new global retail architecture, uniquely integrated into Cadillac Fairview’s Markville shopping complex, a full-service dealership boasting 50,000 square feet. An event will be hosted this autumn to acquaint our club members with this exciting new venture, so watch the club calendar.
It’s hard to believe that just five years ago only three Porsche dealerships existed in southern Ontario, when by the end of next year that number will be up to an incredible seven. Porsche Canada is on a roll! Which means so is your PCA club!
And yet even more great news! It’s never too early to start planning — the highly anticipated 2020 PCA UCR Pfaff Holiday Social is set for Dec. 8, 2020! See you there! </>
