Jillian Weir takes on the role of Porschephile Editor
I HAVE HAD A LIFELONG LOVE of Porsches since my early twenties. For years, a toy dark blue Porsche Boxster sat on my desk reminding me of my dream. I joined PCA UCR in 2016 as a temporary member when it seemed like my dream might soon become my reality. I began searching out Boxsters in earnest two years ago and bored my family and friends with tech info and Auto Trader. On my 42nd birthday, my friends convinced me to bite the bullet. Within a few hours, I had inquired on an ad from Montreal, spoken to the previous owner and placed a deposit, sight unseen, on my actual dream car – a 2001 Boxster S, Lapis Blue with tan interior. I then became a full member of PCA UCR and I’ve been enjoying a smile on my face every morning since.
I then volunteered at Provinz as an assistant editor meeting many of you for the first time through your emails and articles. And, now, I’m ready to move on to be the Porschephile Editor for Provinz, profiling your stories and experiences with your own Porsches.
