WAY BACK IN 1976, an exciting new chapter of the Porsche Club of America was formed and chartered to serve the growing community of Porsche owners here in southern Ontario: the Upper Canada Region or UCR.
In 2021 we celebrate 45 exceptional years of camaraderie, friendship and memories, born out of various events — driving tours, track days, concours, rallies, autocrosses, tech sessions, picnics and more — and all involving our favourite sports car from Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen.
A handful of enthusiasts has grown into over 4,000 members.
Join the club on the evening of Tuesday, June 8 when we celebrate in high style with our special guest, long-time partner and big supporter Porsche Canada, which itself has grown, changed and thrived over the years, from a small part of Volkswagen Canada to an independent entity.
Several big surprise club announcements and unveilings will be made at this event that you will not want to miss, they will change how you view and how you communicate with your club for many years to come.
Porsche Canada CEO Marc Ouayoun, who is also a proud club member, will say a few words to commemorate the occasion. Product specialists will make presentations on the three most significant new Porsches destined for dealerships this year — the 911 GT3 (including Touring), the 911 GTS and the Taycan Cross Turismo. Porsche Canada also has some big announcements of its own, new events it is planning that club members can attend. As well, special Porsche prizes will be on offer.
The event will happen virtually on Zoom due to the pandemic and provincial social restrictions. This could be viewed as unfortunate, but is also fortunate as it allows more club members from all over Ontario to join in the festivities. Our virtual events have been regularly attracting between 120 and 200 PCA club members and Porsche fans.
