This extraordinary drive begins at 10 a.m. just north of Toronto, in Uxbridge, warming up with some sweeping curves and straight blasts as we head into rural lake country. We snag a quick pit stop in Bobcaygeon and then tackle some seriously fantastic highways on our way to Haliburton and a delicious lunch at Stone 21 restaurant, relaxing among Kawartha Lakes’ tremendous natural beauty, amped up by fall’s foliage and crisp clear air.
After lunch, we snake our way back towards civilization through the heart of the Kawarthas, again on some of the area’s best roads, nestled among various waterways and marshlands, scattered farms, mature woods and sprawling countryside.
To wrap up, we pop into a diner for a refreshing beverage, possibly a snack, to share some stories of the day’s great adventure before dispersing and setting off for our respective homes.
This event is an encore presentation of the summer’s popular Land Between Driving Tour, carefully designed by host James Biggar to meet the needs of Porsche enthusiasts and their high-performance cars — minimal traffic and great pavement! It has been slightly tweaked for additional fun.
It won’t be long before many Porsches are tucked away into hibernation for the cold winter, so don’t miss one of 2018’s final exciting driving tours! Limited spots. Sign up now to avoid disappointment.
