I have it in writing from Shell Canada that there is zero Ethanol in their V-Power Gasoline. I think some of the confusion is because some US States require oil companies to add a certain percentage of Ethanol in their gasoline, so Shell is forced to add ethanol to V-Power in those States.
A couple of years ago my Porsche specialist recommended that I avoid Ethanol if possible for my 1972 911 as he had seen problems with poor running, poor mileage and deterioration of seals in the early cars. I had been using Sunoco Ultra-94 but switched to Shell V-Power and I did notice a slight improvement in my gas mileage and it seemed that the car did run better, especially at the track during DE sessions.
