I had it done on my Boxster at G-Tek a few years ago. They did a very thorough job.

All back to Green accepted –just a wrinkle in the space/time continuum I guess.

I think 7C is the normally mentioned performance cutoff point for summer/winter tires. Apparently some insurance policies actually specify times (November 1 to April 30 I heard someone mention was common here in Ontario).

My inclination would be to use summer tires unless your insurance specifies otherwise.

I guess I didn’t look there (in addition to not looking at the Welcome page 😉 )

Andy — it might be useful to provide link to that info in the DE section as well– not sure exactly where(I normally don’t ever go to the Welcome page and I am guessing others are the same).

Not that it affects me — like many of us I am unlikely to own a Porsche that new. 😉

If I recall the provision for factory extinguishers was there last year as well?

I notice the numbers 6 inches or bigger is being emphasized (not sure if that was so prominent in previous years).

Did I get it wrong – I put 7 on the calendar I think.

    From Provinz:

    May 5
    Jun 2
    July 21
    August 4
    August 18
    September 22
    October 13

Maybe I misunderstand and the August 4 date is just a racing event?

So yours is a 987.2? I guess a small flaw corrected in the update.

I tried that but from what I can tell you have to remember to do it every time because turning off the ignition (actually I think turning on the ignition) seems to put it down and reset to automatic mode. With lots of other stuff to remember that was at the bottom of my list.

Great video — I also spotted the grey/silver 987 Boxster around 11:40. Being a 987 owner myself I was particularly interested in the spoiler retracting in 5 and deploying again as you passed. Inside the car you never know if it is working!

I use outdoor masking tape( at least on the front edge of an 81/2 x11 magnetic sheet with numbers printed on and the corners of the sheet radiused). Seems to work well in the cold/wet. Last time out when temps were warm I didn’t use tape at all.

I suspect the electrical tape might leave sticky hard to clean residue but since I haven’t used it I don’t know for sure. The outdoor masking tape comes off cleanly.

Mine (base 2006) has H&R lowering springs, NHP exhaust and Softronics ECU program, Cayman spoiler and side vents, and clear front side markers all installed by the previous owner.

I have also upgraded the CDR24 stereo to a 2 Din Jensen receiver/head unit and upgraded to 19″ Sport Design wheels.

My understanding is that this is a common and easily fixed problem. There is an elastic strap used to guide the top that stretches with age that might need to be replaced or adjusted.

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1437122 has a discussion that might be useful.

I mounted it angle up. Never even considered the other way — not sure it would fit. Getting the floor mat out with the angle up is not real easy so the other way would pin it down completely I think.
