THIS IS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY to stretch the legs of a Cayenne, Macan or Panamera, leave the 911 or Boxster tucked away in winter hibernation. Plus, as a bonus, the larger Porsches allow you to bring along more than just one passenger. The more the merrier, fun is best enjoyed when shared.
But all Porsches, including even two-doors, are welcome with the appropriate seasonal footwear. No summer performance tires are permitted. And, sorry, no Kia Rio winter beaters.
This driving tour follows the Niagara escarpment, starting just outside Hamilton and wrapping up in Queenston Heights and Old Town Niagara-On-The-Lake on the Niagara River.
Porsche heaven awaits with some of the escarpment’s best twists and turns and ups and downs.
We meet at 12 p.m., midway we make a pit stop at 13th Street Winery on the outskirts of St. Catharines for a small wine tasting and, perhaps, a bite to eat from its on-site bakery. Discover wines that reflect the unique terroir of Niagara — 13th Street is particularly famous for its elegant and creamy sparkling Cuvée Rosé, zesty lively rieslings and bold red blends. Around 5 p.m. we roll into Niagara-On-The-Lake.
Spots are limited, so register today. Registration is currently open at ClubRegistration.net. The cost of $39 per person covers the refreshments at 13th Street Winery.
Perhaps book a hotel in Niagara-On-The-Lake and make this a mini winter vacation.
Health and safety come first. Your Porsche club is monitoring all COVID-19 health regulations and will follow all that are in place on the date of the event. Modifications will be made to the event if needed, this may involve an outside wine tasting, social-distanced, at 13th Street Winery or we may even simply do a curbside pick-up of a wine and gift pack.
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! And warm up your winter! </>
