Highways of the Highlands Driving Tour

Please join your fellow PCA members on Saturday September 12th as we take in the spectacular scenic and very twisty “Highways of the Highlands” on a drive leaving from the Petro-Can/A&W just off the 401 near Kingston, Ontario.

The day promises to be one you won’t want to miss as we travel north from Kingston heading for the scenic lake and hill country areas that are the beautiful Madawaska and Lanark Highlands. We will travel on some of the best roads for your Porsche to show you how it loves to carve up the corners! One of the sections of scenic roads planned for the day has even been referred to as the “Canadian Tail of the Dragon” for its many twisty corners and beautiful scenic views.

We will enjoy a wonderful midday lunch in Calabogie at the “Redneck Bistro rated 4.5 stars-Google” with flexible off the menu ordering of exactly what you want from their varied menu and local selection of craft brews. Lunch is ordered and paid for individually by each participant directly with the restaurant. After lunch we will head back south on more great twisty roads making a stop at “Scheuermann Vineyard and Winery” in Westport for a brief mid-afternoon tour and tasting.

Afterwards we will head south through the Rideau Lakes area on yet another scenic and twisty road back to Kingston! This Frontenac Biosphere area is also a designated UNESCO region for its unique geology and biodiversity and the corners and scenery won’t disappoint.

For those travelling from afar there are many great hotels in the Kingston area including two just steps away from our ride start and end area just off the 401 to possibly extend your visit into a weekend getaway!

Please note that all food and drink throughout the day, including lunch at the Redneck Bistro and the tasting at Scheuermann Vineyard and Winery, is paid individually by each participant directly to the venue and is not included.

The drive is limited to the first 40 participants due to restaurant capacity so please click the link to register for this driving tour today!
