I attended the PCA-UCR’s Open House – Shift into Spring on Sunday May 1st and it was great! My husband along with other volunteers organized the event and they did a great job. I met lots of new and familiar faces while distributing posters of the famous 911 Carrera to guests. The indoor venue at 427 Auto Collision was perfect, lots of room for everyone participating to set up their tables and plenty of room for guests to walk around and enjoy the event. There were various Vendor Tables set up featuring automotive accessories, insurance information, books, car appraisals services and more. In a separate area was a Goodies Store featuring official Porsche club merchandise. In addition, there were different booths set up by event chairs to offer information on Porsche Club activities such as Autocross, Club Race, Concours d’Elegance, Driver Education, Driven to Smile, Driving Tours, Fun Runs, Rallies, Socials, Street Survival School, Targa and more.

Around lunchtime, there was a delicious barÂbeque provided by the hosts Lorenzo and Frank D’Alessandro with donations going to the ChilÂdren’s Wish Foundation. The main event also feaÂtured a raffle prize draw for 10 lucky winners who received a $50.00 redeemable voucher per person for the UCR Goodie Store. The Open house event was extremely informative for Porsche owners and Porsche enthusiasts and I highly recommend this event to anyone interested in Porsche cars, to come and learn more about what the PCA-UCR club has to offer! Excellent event! Don’t miss out next year!
