Porsche press release – by Randy Gananathan (from April 2017 Provinz page 41)
Porsche is expanding the Panamera family with the addition of the new Panamera Sport Turismo, introduced recently at the Geneva Motor Show. Four different versions will be offered in this body style: Panamera 4, Panamera 4S, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera Turbo. Up to 550 hp, the Sport Turismo with a large tailgate, low loading edge, increased luggage compartment volume and a 4+1 seating concept offers everyday usability and maximum flexibility, says Michael Mauer, Director of Style at Porsche.
Technical features include the new digital Porsche Advanced Cockpit, adaptive cruise control with Traffic Jam Assist, rear axle steering and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC Sport) electronic roll stabilization system. All Sport Turismo models will be offered with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) – an active all-wheel drive system. A unique first in the market adaptively extendible roof spoiler offers additional downforce up to 110 lbs on the rear axle and helps minimize wind noise over 90 km/h when the panoramic roof is open.
