WE WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE our August virtual social at Porsche Centre North Toronto, hosted by Adriano Bernaudo, marketing manager, with a showroom tour of the new Taycan and other Porsches, a garage tour with tech inspection on a 993 911, and a unique online scavenger hunt. We also welcomed a special celebrity guest, Jakob Pospieszynski, also known on Instagram as 911Percent and with a passionate fan base of nearly 18,000 followers. It was his beautiful black 993 that was on the lift.
First up was the Taycan. Daniel Rizkalla, sales executive and Porsche brand ambassador, showed us many of the novel and interesting features of this incredible all-electric automobile.
After a showroom tour we went virtually into the service area. Jakob Pospieszynski, who is also, of course, a fellow PCA UCR member, spoke about his black 993, some of his ownership history and subtle modifications. Andrew Da Costa, shop foreman and Porsche Gold master technician, told the online crowd about what is required for a Porsche to pass a track tech inspection.
At that point we said good-bye to PCNT and a virtual scavenger hunt for members began. The goal was to be first to find mostly Porsche-related items. Points were given in descending order. Much merriment and laughter ensued as pets were dragged before the cameras or toilet paper was presented.
