I CLEARLY REMEMBER seeing my first Porsche Boxster on the road in June of 1997 in Richmond Hill and just being blown away by the sweeping lines and sexy look. Right there and then I made a vow that I was going to own one as soon as I could even though it seemed like just a dream.
In June of 2012, I was fortunate enough to be selected by Downtown Porsche in Toronto to take part in a test drive of the new 2013 Porsche Boxster (981) that they had set up in the parking area of Woodbine Racetrack. That one hour of twists and turns through pylons, and accelerating and braking made me fall hard for a Porsche Boxster and one month later I was signing a deal at Pfaff Porsche. On April 11, 2014 I took possession and have loved every minute of it ever since.
Right from the beginning, driving it has always been a thrill that I look forward to every time I turn the key and hear the sweet sound of the flat-six engine and exhaust. I have been on many PCA UCR drives with other enthusiastic club members and no matter how many kilometres we put on our cars, the day always seems to go quickly because of the sheer exhilaration and fun driving the Boxster. You literally feel that you are part of the car and always feel in complete control as you take curves and twists in the road with a mere shift of the wheel, never feeling that you and the car are not in complete sync.
I love the acceleration, the screaming high rev song, and the complete confidence of control that the car affords you. Great handling, braking and fun every time you take it out. I love my Boxster! — John Tsourounis
