Growing up, I was a fan of American muscle cars mainly because that’s what my father, older brother, and his friends drove. That all changed one day when I was in high school and one of the older kids showed up in his father’s black-on-black 1986 911 Turbo S five-speed. It was love at first sight. From then on, I began to learn more about Porsche and everything it stood for.
In 2011 I was invited to attend a Porsche track day. It was a beautiful fall day and I was able to drive every model. Driving the 911 4S was the most enjoyment I had ever driving a car. The total driving experience was like no other, I was hooked. At the end of that day, I made a pledge to myself that one day I would be a Porsche owner. That day came eight years later when I bought my 2003 Boxster S from my friend and mechanic Chris Blazer. — Doug Cameron
