It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cray Scarlett on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, in his 70th year. A man of wide activities and interests, he was an avid sailor, curler, golfer, hockey goalie and skier, always ready with a great laugh, quick-witted, honest and trustworthy, and a true and caring friend willing to go out of his way to help. He was also a member of the Porsche Club of America, Upper Canada Region, where he enjoyed participating in driver training, race days and volunteering with their Goodie Store.
Cray’s passion has always been in motorcycles, whether riding, touring across country or helping others realize their dream of owning the perfect ride. He was a member of the Waterloo County Motorcycle Touring Club and informal “Rally Rats.” His favorite place has always been at the family cottage in Honey Harbour, where he worked summers as a young man, enjoying boating and water sports in middle years and even just sitting peacefully looking out at the water.
Keeping with Cray’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for April. Details have not yet been finalized.
