Beautiful 968 convertible, manual 6-speed transmission, Agate grey exterior, black top, Classic Grey interior.
Originally a US car, brought to Canada by previous owner in 2005. The convertible roof lowers and raises electrically at the push of the button, the air conditioning works, to the best of my knowledge the only thing not working is the cruise control, which has worked fine for the last 10 years and this year has decided to take a break. I think it’s the lever/switch in the steering column because I’ve changed most everything else out with known-good items to no effect.
Reason for sale is the car is not getting used - I’ve put 5,000 miles on the car during my 10 year ownership. I have two of these cars, this one which is a stick shift and my other one which is a tiptronic, and I use the tiptronic one way more just for convenience.
The car is in great condition and has benefited from always being parked and winter-stored in my heated garage. Bodywork is clean, interior is clean, no cracks in the dash, roof condition is good, steering wheel condition is good, electric seats work. Interior has carbon fibre-look panels. Oil and filter change each year. Passenger seat is as new. Driver seat was refurbished by Porsche Victoria when I bought the car, new panels in the driver seat, stained to match. During the last 10 years the stain has worn on these new panels. No holes, cracks or other wear, just the stain has worn on these new high-use areas.
Car comes with two keys and original Porsche document folder with original owner books.
Ownership history - I bought this car over 10 years ago from Porsche Victoria, and had it shipped here to Ontario; showing 147,538 miles. The previous owner was a similar Porsche enthusiast, a past President of PCA VIR, and he owned the car for over 11 years. Car comes with service receipts from Porsche Oakville.
Service history - Extensive service records going back to over 10 years In my ownership the car has been serviced by Mantis and Porsche Oakville. I had Porsche Oakville do major maintenance service in 2017: lots of front-end engine work, seals, new timing belt, balance shaft belt, covers, tensioner, oil pan gasket, also new clutch, rear main seal, bearings.
Accident history - no accidents in my ownership or in the previous ownership to my knowledge.
