Smiles all around

Saturday May 11th was the first of four events for Fast Cars, Big Hearts. The event was conceived over the past winter by David Forbes, Dave Osborne and Walter Murray in conjunction with Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre. On hand at CTMP (Mosport) were Executive Director Andrea Shaw, Family Support Coordinator Carolyn Hoar, and 12 children and their parents. The children ranged in age from five years to mid-teen, and all are threatened by cancer. During the DE lunch break red run group drivers volunteered their time and took the children and some parents around the famous track at highway speeds. The children and parents were delighted. David hopes to have more children attend the next event.
