Canada’s foremost automotive journalist, and long-time club friend and fellow honorary member, Jim Kenzie will be UCR’s very special guest on the evening of Tuesday, March 8 at Hansa Haus, the German cultural centre on Hurontario Street in Mississauga.
Join us for schnitzel and apple strudel and perhaps a fine German beer.
One year ago Jim Kenzie was presented an honorary membership into PCA Upper Canada Region, recognizing the Toronto Star and TSN Motoring journalist’s many decades of club support. This event had to be hosted virtually on Zoom due to pandemic group-gathering restrictions — this year UCR will properly honour our honorary member and present him with a special award in-person.
In addition to a bit of the typical Kenzie speaking engagement, a schnitzel-side chat (not fireside because no fireplace is available) will be conducted as we put some of the big important automotive questions of the day to our esteemed colleague. “What is your favourite Porsche?” “Is it true you secretly dream of owning a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody?” “Has your stance on EVs changed?” “How often do you hang out with Elon Musk?” “What are your automotive plans for 2022?” As well, the usual club announcements will be made, including those of newly confirmed upcoming 2022 events, as well as the important recognition of new members, receiving their official club pin.
Price for this exclusive event is $49 and features an authentic gourmet German meal of schnitzel, spätzle with gravy, green salad, bread, apple strudel for dessert, coffee or tea, plus a very special presentation and schnitzel-side chat with our VIP guest, the latter to be streamed on Zoom at 7:30 p.m.
