1968 Porsche 911

PHOTOGRAPHED IN BEETON, Ontario by Kye Wankum, this is a 1968 Porsche 911 in Bahama Yellow. The car came to Canada through New York state, with prior history unknown, and was thought to be and sold as a 911 L. Turns out that the serial number had been misinterpreted and it is in fact a 911 “Normal,” which results in a substantial difference in value since the L model is a much rarer car. Sharing small details like this and much more is what the recently launched UCR Long Hood SIG is all about.

The UCR 911 Long Hood Special Interest Group is for 1964 to 1973 Porsche 911 and 912 enthusiasts — ownership not required.
