It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear UCR friend, Mark Herring. Many of you likely remember Mark as UCR Membership Co-Chair (along with Angie Herring) for over 35 years. Mark recently passed away from esophageal cancer. The family is holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday May 4th between 11am – 2:00pm at their home, 4371 Victoria Street, Puslinch, Ontario, N0B 2J0. The family welcomes UCR members to come and reflect on Mark (and Angie’s) 35 years of service and effort in growing UCR from a mere 190 member club to over 4000 members.
UCR was chartered in July 1976 and is made up of a dynamic group of nearly 4000 people with a common love of the Porsche family of automobiles. Geographically, our Region covers Ontario from Thunder Bay to North Bay in the north, to Kingston in the east and Sarnia in the west. Essentially all of Ontario except for the Ottawa Valley.
