OBIT: Graham Jardine

1953 – 2023

With great sadness we announce the passing of Graham Campbell Jardine on August 12, 2023 at home with family. Born in 1953 in Montreal to his late parents, Grace Margaret (nee Graham) and Adam Campbell Jardine.

Graham was the cherished husband of Margaret, and they were blessed with a loving 47 years of marriage. He was the proud father of Laura (Ryan) and Cheryl (David) and an enthusiastic and loving grandpa of Keira & Zoe and Blake & Evan. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Marie (Bill), niece Elizabeth (Luis), cousin Lesley (Bob), extended family, many friends, colleagues and neighbours.

Family meant everything to Graham. He loved family gatherings and holidays, and lit up around his grandchildren. Family highlights included travelling, ski trips and highly anticipated annual cottage weeks as the family has grown over the years. We owe many family portraits and photos to Graham’s photography skills and we will treasure all the memories made.

Graham was a Business Systems Analyst at RBC, retiring in 2015 after a 37-year career with the bank. He had many passions. He was an enthusiastic participant and volunteer with UCR Porsche Club, an avid photographer and a founding member of Trillium Photographic Club. He was an organizer and could fix almost anything. He took up golf when retired and always looked forward to golfing with his buddies, rain or shine.

Many thanks to the healthcare teams at Credit Valley, Princess Margaret and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospitals and for all the support from good friends and the Walton United Church community.

A gathering to celebrate Graham’s life will take place at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville on August 20, 2023. Visitation will begin at 12:30pm followed by a memorial service at 1pm. Please join us for a reception onsite after the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Graham’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
