Zicke Zacke Hoi Hoi Hoi

On a cool, crisp fall day, I set out that afternoon to pick up the freshly baked pretzels from everyone’s favourite German bakery, Dimpfelmeyer, and I brought them to PCYC for our Oktoberfest social. Our amazing Social Chairs – Sylvie Neill and Andrea Heitz – had already decorated the room while Dagmar eagerly awaited the early-bird guests at the check-in table.

With German Oktoberfest music playing in the background, a pretzel in one hand and a beer in the other, I made my way around the room to greet the guests.  It was quite clear from the choice of clothing who the German-descent people were.  Thank you to Michael Pohlmann and Helmut Brosz for wearing your authentic Lederhosen.  Yours truly adorned my authentic Dirndle, and many of you made wonderful efforts to come dressed with the Oktoberfest spirit in mind.

After a tasty schnitzel dinner, and before we all drove off into the night, a few of us took advantage of our Skittles by doing a mini photo shoot in front of the PCYC building.

Prost! </>
